My Story

I grew up in a very toxic family and vowed at five-years-old that I would not carry forward any of the dysfunctional patterns I was exposed to and observed. I knew that when I was allowed to take control of my life, I would. When I was 18-years-old, I left home for college and never looked back. There was a Higher Power with me even then because I landed in Kentucky at a school I never visited and knew only from what I read in their brochure. I had saved a little money from my part-time job at a fast food restaurant. That along with my full scholarship was my lifeline. I had my hope for a better future and my determination to be my highest self, and that was it.  It was scary. But I was free. My life was my own, and I started building my values and standards of living that were different from what I saw growing up in the midwest.

I used to wonder why I experienced all the trauma and heartache that I did. At first, I thought I was being punished. But I had done nothing to deserve to be hurt and mistreated. But I finally figured it out. How could I help other people with their emotional pain and healing if I had not been where they are? It’s one thing to empathize with another person. But when you have walked that rocky path and cried and felt alone, you understand that person in the depth of your soul. And you are uniquely qualified to heal and guide others. That’s what I am. That’s what makes me different. That’s what makes me the one best to help you. I was the guinea pig, if you will, and I figured it out. Through it all, I remained loving and compassionate. I advocated for the innocent and helpless. My purpose became clear to me. I designed my life around it, and it touches every aspect of who I am and desire to be. I will help you overcome toxic family patterns and become your highest self if you are willing and ready.

I recognize I am not for everyone, and I am okay with that. I like to think that everyone can benefit from my experience and mentoring. But those who are meant to cross paths with and be helped by me will make themselves known like I have just made myself known to you. I welcome the opportunity invite you to work with you as a mentor and healer to bring more stability and balance into your life. Do you want to look back at your past and not feel broken and hurt? Are you ready to build a beautiful, healthy foundation for your future generations? If you want to stop reliving your childhood trauma repeatedly as adults, work with me. One person at a time, we can and will reimagine the world.

More About Me

Discover all that I am and can be

 Help people heal inner wounds

Advocate for the vulnerable to receive high-quality services & education

Meet people from all over the world on what unites us

My Favorite Things…

I love great conversation and good food.

I only want the truth and nothing less.

I enjoy the long days of summer, soaking in the sun.

I like lemonade, lemon cookies, lemon cake, and lemon scents.

I love nature walks, especially if the company is right

People Don’t Know…

I believe what I see more than what I hear. Talk is not action. It’s the beginning, not the end.

I have an incredible sense of humor that you are not expecting.

I am still shy, though not as much as I was when I was a child. But I overcame a lot of my shyness as an adult. Can you imagine the trouble I would have had as the shy principal?

I don’t mistreat or harm others. If you’re intimidated by me, that has nothing to do with me, especially if we’ve never met or spoken. That’s your energy, and you have to redirect it.

In Real Life…

I was a middle and high school teacher and later a principal. Those were some of the best times of my life!

My optimistic, nurturing spirit is the foundation of my life’s purpose.

I spent hours talking with and advising students, parents, and teachers. It was natural for me because people have always been drawn to me.

I have always had a big heart. As a teenager, I taught drama to students in foster care. One student’s story who was sexually abused really touched me. I wanted to adopt her. But I was just a kid.
